Filmmakers Nancy Kelly and Kenji Yamamoto produced their award-winning film, “REBELS WITH A CAUSE,” hand-in-hand with KRCB: North Bay Public Media over the course of the last decade. When the time came for the world broadcast premiere, David S Waxman led the production team to produce a fundraising (pledge event) special on behalf of KRCB.
On Tuesday, November 5, 2013, with only an HD camera with SDI-HD out, a laptop, an on-set HD monitor, and a shared Google Spreadsheets document, Senior KRCB-TV Producer David Waxman made history with the station’s first-ever LIVE HD broadcast.
In October 2013, KRCB produced a 30-minute public affairs program about the issues facing Marin County, California in the upcoming November 5 election.
