Bayer Farm – Santa Rosa, California

Communities all across Sonoma County, California are coming together for change. No matter how you choose to participate, we all have something to give. How will you connect with our community? Magdelana and Maria bring the community together at Bayer Farm, an urban farm in Santa Rosa, California.

Magdelana and Maria return to further explore the theme of building a community at this urban farm in Santa Rosa, California.

Since early 2009, residents in Roseland have organized and advocated for more trails and opportunities for safe physical activity. Group members attended planning meetings, spoke with neighbors to encourage their involvement, and shared ideas about what they would like to see in the community. As a result of this advocacy, the parks’ master plan includes specific features requested by the community, such as turf for soccer fields, play areas for families, and safe trails for children and families.
