Napa 9/11 Memorial

Gordon Huether is an artist based in the Napa Valley. He is creating a 9/11 memorial, constructed of steel from the Twin Towers, that will stand in downtown Napa, California. Narrated by Michelle Olivera. Produced independently for KRCB Public Media’s “North Bay Voice.”

The Buckle of the Prune Belt

A region of great agricultural bounty, the valleys that surround the historic town of Healdsburg are known for a fair number of different crops. Today it’s grapes, but for half a century the prune industry— from plum trees to packing plants— dominated the local economy.
